We have an adult standard black and tan smooth (short hair) dapple boy looking for a new home. He was born on May 22nd, 2019, so he is 2 years and 5 months old. His name is Belvedere! He is 17 pounds, so he is a small standard. The good: Bell comes up to date on all his vaccines as well as neutered! He’s AKC registered and will come with all his paperwork ♥️ The bad: Bell isn’t potty trained. We have been working with him and while he doesn’t mark incessantly like some boys do, he has a problem asking to go outside to poo. The ugly: While he seems to get along with people in general, and does well with kids and even most strangers, when put into new environments he gets defensive. He has already tried one home, and he was returned because he growled at the child in the home. He has grown up with our 3 year old, and we’ve never seen him growl at others but it may be because we are there with him. He also is nervous around large dogs, due to having very little experience with them (we have all small dogs). He has taken lots of trips to Home Depot and done great, everyone loves to say hi to him, although he’s still working on not barking at his fellow dogs.
