First, today's weather: Sunny and comfortable. High: 76 Low: 46. Here are the top stories in Sacramento today: No selfies with the mountain lion, please! Students at Inderkum high school in Natomas were surprised on Tuesday by a mountain lion sighting. They had their lunch period moved strictly indoors and were told that if they were going to walk home, they should stay in groups. This isn't the first time a mountain lion has been spotted in Natomas. About a year ago, there was another big cat visitor to the neighborhood. If you spot a mountain lion, you are requested to call police and do not approach the lion. You don't have to tell me that twice! (CBS Sacramento) McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento has received its biggest donation ever and one of the largest gifts in the history of legal education. Trial lawyer Robert R. Eglet and his wife, legal negotiator Tracy A. Eglet, committed $20 million toward scholarships aimed at first-generation students and students of color and $5 million toward the University of the Pacific law school's advocacy center. The donation is the second-largest given to a California law school and 15th largest in the country. (KCRA3) Sacramento man Jose Smith has been convicted on multiple counts including using a firearm during a home robbery, 18 counts of residential burglary, child endangerment, being a felon in possession of a firearm and others. Smith and several co-conspirators burglarized 15 homes in Sacramento, Placer and Eldorado County between January and April 2019. Many of the homes had people inside and Smith and the others used force to rob them. Smith's sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 5 at 1:35 p.m. in Sacramento Superior Court. (ABC10) Nearly 20,000 Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) customers lost power Tuesday near Interstate 5 and the Pocket neighborhood. SMUD has not said what caused the outage, but the National Weather Service warned Sacramento residents of wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph through Tuesday afternoon. (FOX40)Oh my gosh! Can you believe it's been 10 years since the Terminal B modernization at the Sacramento International Airport? I used to actually like to fly into Terminal B because it was so small and easy to navigate, but $1.03B and 10 years later, it has welcomed millions of flyers to it's modern, sleek design and welcoming storefronts. "The construction of Terminal B took SMF from a regional airport to a major gateway to California," said Cindy Nichol, Sacramento County Director of Airports.
