Oswego Man Finishes 6th Place Overall At Chicago Marathon

CHICAGO, IL — It may have been a long wait, but for the participants in the 43rd edition of the Chicago Marathon, it was worth it. Not run since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sunday's race was filled with local participants. There were 34 Oswego runners who finished the marathon, including one man who came in 6th place overall. The marathon was won by Seifu Tura, of Ethiopia, and Ruth Chepngetich of Kenya, in 2 hours, 6.12 seconds, and 2:22:31, respectively. Daniel Romanchuk and Tatyana McFadden, both of the United States, won the wheelchair race. They finished at 1:29:07 and 1:48:57, respectively. In Oswego, Colin Mickow was among the first 10 people to complete Sunday's marathon. He crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 13 minutes and 31 seconds.
