BRISTOL TWP, PA — A fatal crash Wednesday morning closed a portion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bucks County. The crash, which occurred on the Turnpike/I-95 connector bridge in Bristol Township, initially closed all eastbound lanes.
Around 7 a.m., one lane reopened but drivers should expect continued delays throughout the morning, turnpike officials reported.
Only the left lane was open just before 9 a.m., according to the KYW Traffic Center, though both the Route 13 and I-95 northbound ramps to the turnpike had reopened.
Action News reports it was a two-vehicle crash that occurred just after 6 a.m.
The left lane is now open at the crash scene, expect heavy delays through the area on I-95 North. https://t.co/hnjJmGtp8G— PA Turnpike Alerts (@PATurnpikeAlert) October 13, 2021 Video from the scene showed a badly damaged white car, and responders covering its driver's side with a tarp.
