Press release from Ramsey County Government: October 12, 2021 The board of commissioners has proclaimed Oct. 12, 2021 as Licensed Family Child Care Provider Appreciation Day in Ramsey County. The day recognizes the nearly 400 family child care providers caring for 4,000 local children. Licensed family child care providers are essential workers who provide a safe and healthy environment that fosters the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of children. Commissioner MatasCastillo read the proclamation with Human Services Manager Brian Theine and additional county staff offering remarks.
