Description
GLENDORA, CA — Applications are open for the Glendora Rotary Club's Mini-Grants for Teachers Program.
The grants help local teachers "enhance and improve the teaching process," the Rotary Club said on its website.
"Among other things, faculty members use these grants to secure classroom materials, link curriculum among varying disciplines, purchase supplementary reference books and fund educational field trips or special lectures," the club said.
More than $500,000 has been donated by the club through its grant since it began the program more than 30 years ago, officials said. Last year saw $15,200 in grants distributed to Glendora teachers.
Applications for the program are available on the Rotary Club's website and are due by Dec. 17. Teachers must work at the Glendora Unified School District or the Charter Oak Unified School District to qualify.
