CAMPBELL, CA — A debris fire involving a garbage truck and electrical wire shut down streets in Campbell on Wednesday morning. Boise Drive, near Hamilton Avenue, was shut down in the area near Memphis Drive and Phoenix Drive. The public was asked to avoid the area and to treat all down electrical wires as live and lethal. Avoid the area of Phoenix, Boise, & Memphis Dr in @CityofCampbell. Roads are currently closed as @sccfiredept & @PGE4Me are on scene of a debris fire involving a garbage truck and electrical wire. Always assume all downed lines are live & avoid approaching them. pic.twitter.com/CC35lbbK55— Campbell Police (@CampbellPolice) October 13, 2021 The incident was reported just after 9 a.m. Traffic lights at Phoenix Drive and Hamilton Avenue were also out, according to the Campbell Police Department. All non-working or flashing signal lights should be treated as a four-way stop. The Santa Clara County Fire Department, San Jose Fire Department, PG&E and Campbell Police Department were on scene.
