Corbin Compost is hiring 2 more drivers to join our residential compost pick-up crew!! Qualified candidates will have a combined passion for waste reduction and landfill diversion as well as the practical skills needed to transport food scraps through town. Responsibilities : --- will include, but are not limited to the following Drive manual work truck from parking location to farm Pick up daily supplies from farm, and begin daily record keeping Navigate to residential pick-up customer addresses in most efficient order At each stop, collect scraps and replace collection bucket Complete route and transport all scraps back to farm Record required information Process scraps from buckets into active compost bins Return work truck to designated parking location Submit end-of-day paperwork and materials Clean and organize supplies in vehicle as necessary Assist with training new compost crewmembers as needed Follow and enforce current City, State, Federally-mandated safety measures Keep up-to-date with Corbin Compost routes and Corbin Compost communications Requirements : Valid AZ Driver’s License for at least 1 year with satisfactory driving record and ability to operate a manual vehicle Work outdoors, year-round, in a range of temperatures Handle miscellaneous kitchen waste in varying stages of decay Ability to lift heavy bins and supplies, up to 30 pounds Qualifications : Enjoys driving and working outdoors in all weather conditions Experience driving in Flagstaff and knowledge of Flagstaff streets and highways Passionate about composting, sustainability, and waste reduction Takes initiative and excels at independent work Creative problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot on-the spot Strong organization, time management, and communication skills Position Schedule: 4 to 6 hours per work day. 2 to 4 days per month. Position Compensation: This position pays per route shift. The hiring rate per route starts at $80, with the potential for bonuses throughout the year. Apply by email or on the Facebook job posting.
