Construction Expeditor $500 SIGN ON BONUS!!! Alaskan family-owned Construction/Restoration Company serving the community for 49 years, is currently seeking Anchorage based Construction Expeditor. What we do We are a construction/restoration company that restores homes & commercial properties after disasters such as fire, wind, earthquake and water and mold damage. We also do home improvement, residential and commercial remodels, additions and many other services. We occasionally work in rural locations in Alaska as needed. We offer emergency services 24 hours per day. Our employees work on a rotation schedule for after hours. Duties and Responsibilities • Procurement and delivery of construction materials needed for jobs. • Clean-up of job sites, debris removal, dump runs. • Work on call rotation for after hour emergencies. • Help carpenters with carpentry duties as needed/skills allow. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Requirements • Must reside in Anchorage due to on-call rotation. Participation in on-call rotation is required. • General knowledge of construction materials helpful. • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions from Lead Carpenters, Production Manager & Project Managers. • Must be safety focused. We provide all safety gear and all employees are required to use it. • Ability to work well with the public as well as independently. • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads often. 75+ pounds • Ability to safely operate company vehicles in all weather conditions. You would be driving 1-ton flatbed, box van & ½ ton pickups. • Must have reliable, insured transportation to work including after hours due to on call rotation. • Current driver license with no more than 3 driving infractions in the last 3 years. • Must pass post offer drug screen (heroin, amphetamines, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine) • Must pass post-offer background screening. Due to insurance requirements, candidates with felony convictions will not be considered. Any other convictions will need to be discussed with Human Resource Director for contract compliance.
