Seeking a young, maybe recent high-school graduate that would like to learn a new trade. I am swamped with work and need help. Seeking someone with a mechanical inclination, someone that has some history with fixing small engines, maybe some experience with 12 volt electric... If you have that basic mechanical inclination, then you're teachable and can learn boats relatively easily. Initially, at the moment I need some help with basic sanding of paint and varnish.. Pretty simple, use an electric sander, san paint off without damaging the surface. If things work out id like to teach someone to do other things, and hopefully be able to send them off on their own to do side jobs. For example, right now I am doing a big project in the boat yard, its taking all my time, but I have two other boats that need batteries changed, lights changed, a trailer that needs new lights etc etc.. if someone could handle stuff like that for me that would be great... some things we do ; * Paint and varnish *12volt electrical *Scuba dive to clean and repair boat bottoms *Mechanical repairs *Boat trailer repairs *Fiberglass repair And much much more Also open to someone of any age that can already do these things or can learn.. IF YOURE NOT MECHANICALLY INCLUNED AND DETAIL ORIENTED DO NOT CONTACT ME.. IT WONT WORK... No drugs... no crazy or colorful hair.. Have your own car and drivers license. Be presentable and have some social skills so you can talk to customers (they are often present and ask questions about what you're doing to their boat. Starting pay isn't great but its money, and will increase. Show me you are teachable, or can handle things and ill double that pay to 20 an hour to be my helper when needed.. Be capable of going to jobs and doing them without me, ill pay 25 to 30 an hour depending on the job and how long it takes.
