Paradise Valley Country Club is hiring a FT Gardeners/Assistant Horticulturist who is responsible for the planting, care and maintenance of all ornamental plants, shrubs and trees on the clubhouse grounds and selected golf course sites and care of all lawn areas not included on golf course. Our Gardeners and Grounds employees are responsible for the following duties: Preparing soil plant beds and establishing plants and flowers Pruning, trimming, root feeding and pest control of plants, trees and shrubs Operating mechanical and power equipment used in maintenance of plants and trees Mowing and raking all lawn areas as needed, repairing damage to grass on lawns caused by tents, furniture and weather Assist as needed and as instructed by horticulturist and superintendent Requirements Knowledge of plants, shrubs and trees Knowledge of proper use of fertilizers, soil conditioners and pesticides Ability to safely operate motorized equipment, including lawn mowers Must practice safety at all times Paradise Valley Country Club is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
