Dog Trainer Internship

Urban Pawsibilities is a new & busy dog training facility. We care for 9 client dogs per day. We're looking to hire 1 intern who will be trained to become a dog trainer that works with our daystay (daycare) dogs on basic manners. Please submit a COVER LETTER describing pertinent experience, why you want to work for us, and confirming your availability. Dog daycare, pet store, dog walking, dog training experience is a plus. Must be able to work Sunday-Thursday. --Light cleaning duties not including but not limited to: dishes, sweeping, mopping, wiping out kennels, cleaning up poop and pee --Prep duties including but not limited to: filling kongs and other enrichment toys, cutting up treats --Customer service duties included but not limited to: checking in and out clients, receiving and sending home dogs, answering phones, checking staff email, entering in vaccination records, learning our software system --Dog training duties included but not limited to: completing the Karen Pryor Dog Trainer Foundations training course, teaching dogs and puppies basic manners (you'll be trained on how to do this), photographing dogs, sending out report cards All customers and employees are required to wear masks. Our staff is fully vaccinated.
