We are currently seeking a Golf Cart Set Up Technician at our Portland, OR branch. This is a full-time position and is an awesome opportunity for a mechanically-inclined individual who is seeking a career outside of the standard day-to-day automotive industry role. Individuals interested in everything from small engine repair, electrical diagnosis, accessory installation and design, and equipment assembly can excel in this position. JOB DETAILS: • Set up of golf carts • Cleaning and detailing units prior to sale • Perform thorough pre-delivery inspections to ensure quality • Point person for keeping track of the fleet set up process • Potential to assist with diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of golf carts • Assist other technicians, as needed • Write service reports that accurately reflect work performed and parts used • Maintain all equipment and ensure tools are in good working condition • Maintain general housekeeping duties in shop and property maintenance • Work with the Service Manager to ensure consistent work flow • Help maintain and support safety policies • Ability to read, write and communicate with co-workers and managers • Other duties as assigned by management KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS: • Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge • Golf industry experience a plus • Basic set of hand tools, power tools, and electrical diagnostic tools, a plus • Need to be a team player with a positive attitude • Ability to clearly follow written and verbal instructions • Must be in good physical condition; requiring continuous lifting up to 50 pounds routinely during the course of a shift. This position requires heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, bending, twisting and pulling on a daily basis • Current driver's license and reliable means of transportation and must be insurable Position is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Hourly, Full Time Compensation: $14 - $18 DOE Benefits: Health Insurance Benefits available, also a 401(k) Plan Hours: Day shift, M - F Please respond with a resume for employment consideration.
