Grain Bin Rescue Training
ANNOUNCEMENT
Over the past several years, Barron County has experienced several fatalities due to silo and grain bin entrapments. To support emergency response efforts, Emergency Services of Barron County is hosting a no-cost Grain Bin Rescue training for all area responders.
OVERVIEW
This four (4) hour training reviews grain bin rescue, responder safety, patient safety, and extrication techniques. Training will include an onsite grain bin (mounted to trailer) for hands-on practical scenarios.

To accommodate scheduling, one class will be held from 8:00am to 12:00pm and another (identical class) will be held from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Any responder (fire, ems, law, air medical, first responder, etc) that could respond to a grain bin entrapment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Attendees are encouraged to bring a harness, helmet, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection if you have them. If not, extras will be available.
Firefighters should bring bunker gear. Departments are also encouraged to bring their own rescue equipment (rescue panels, cutting saws, etc).
Training will be outside so please dress accordingly.
