About the Artist: The Acadian offers every day carry products from our workshop on the coast of Maine. From handcrafted pens to finely stitched leather products and more, we pride ourselves on crafting high quality products with a Maine flair. We create heirloom works from the historic, the beautiful, and the imperfect. An historic pylon from a coastal community; a piece of wood from a favorite film set; a journal cover inspired by a Maine hero — each piece is carefully crafted into a wearable artwork or treasured keepsake. It was chance that brought our shop into being. Founder Chris Cavallari began leather and woodcrafting several years ago, and fell in love with the process, the feeling of creating, and the beauty of minor flaws—what the Japanese call wabi sabi— that add so much character and love to hand finished products. Skill level: All levels Supplies we provide: all materials, tools, and instructions Safety Precautions: Class size is very limited due to social distancing requirements.
