The Veteran's Day Suicide Awareness Ruck Race is a 4.66 mile time-trial race built around suicide awareness and prevention efforts!
Ruck For Life has been putting on competitive, time-trial ruck races since 2019 with the mission to raise awareness about suicide as well as raise awarness about prevention and intervention efforts for communities around Florida. The concept of rucking is simple: grab a pack, grab some weight, put it on your back, and go!
Every Veteran's Day, we recognize those veterans who have given some and those who gave all. However, Ruck For Life has continued to maintain that there are a group of veterans most often forgotten: those who fought and lost the "silent fight" of suicide. It is this group of veterans that we commemorate the Ruck For Life Veteran's Day Suicide Awareness Ruck Race to. This race, like many other Ruck For Life races, seeks to showcase and exemplify our motto, "Portamus Invicem", translated "we carry each other".
Admission for the competitive race includes free donuts sponsored by Dunkin Donuts, a limited edition Ruck For Life Veteran's Day 2021 Ruck Race "Portamus Invicem" decal sticker, and a chance to place first to win a prize package courtesy of our sponsors!
Even if you do not wish to compete, come ruck or walk with us and support the cause! Just make sure to register for Fun Ruck at checkout!
