SUMMARY OF POSITION The Irrigation Assistant works under the direction of a licensed Irrigator to install and repair underground irrigations systems. The Irrigation Assistant conducts inventory of tools, equipment, or materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available, and items are in usable condition. ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES Work under the direction of a Licensed Irrigator Complete repairs and installs as necessary Operate trenchers and rock saws to install/repair lines If cleared to drive, operate the vehicle safely over an assigned route/to the destination Follow all company safety, security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries: complete safety training and certifications Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards Ensure uniform, company vehicle and personal appearance are clean and professional Practice integrity, reliability and honesty in all business transactions Work with co-workers as a team to ensure success Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect Ability to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations (i.e., may be subject to “on-call” responsibilities) A “can-do” attitude LICENSES+CERTIFICATIONS Class C driver license with a clean driving record (desired, not required)
