This beginner's class will introduce you to our vinyl cutter. In this class we will go over the proper way to use the machine, the differences in vinyl thickness, how to turn an image into a vector, weeding vinyl correctly, how to make your own stickers and how to draw with the vinyl cutter. If you have a small business and need to make your own vinyl logos or you just want to make some fun stickers, this class is for you! Vinyl and tools will be provided. PLEASE NOTE: Registration via Eventbrite is preferred to ensure a seat in the class, however, if you wish to pay by cash or check, please notify us immediately at [email protected]. Thank you! About the Instructor Breanna Niebel is a graphic designer and animator with extensive background in creative software. She went to college in Vermont and attended grad school in Wales, United Kingdom. Her passions include animation, drawing, and learning new things. Breanna has used Inkscape to design and laser cut wooden earrings, which she now sells on her Etsy page. Technocopia is a non-profit makerspace located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Our 11,000 sq. ft. facility offers common work space, rental bays, and a variety of tools for artisans to create and work with. We also host training classes and workshops which make use of our shared work areas including: a complete wood shop, metal shop, 3d printer station, electronics bay, glass flameworking shop, classroom, design studio, and our CNC mill and laser cutter shop! Every Thursday night we are open to the public for our Open Hacks and Crafts event.
