Volunteering and shadowing creates opportunities to learn about different organizations, workplace culture and also gives insight into the Profession that interest you.We are interested in presenting on this topic because as a Health and Sciences school, many people would like to find volunteering and shadowing opportunities to learn more about their respective majors, gain job opportunities, network, and prepare their applications to graduate programs. But, in some cases they don't know how to find these opportunities and how to communicate with others when asking for these types of opportunities. We would like to share how to access these opportunities .
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
Students who attend will be able to know resources available at MCPHS University which will help them gain volunteer/shadowing opportunities. Students who attend will be able to understand the importance of networking to gain volunteer and shadowing opportunities. Students who attend will be able to find networking opportunities.
