Celebrate Women Entrepreneurship Week with Innovate@BU & the BUild Lab! Come celebrate Women Entrepreneurship Week with us, learn from BU alumni women founders who will candidly share their entrepreneurial experiences as women and advice for tackling challenges, and connect with other entrepreneurial women in the Boston University innovation community! Event agenda: 5:30-6pm: Dinner and informal networking among attendees 6pm-7:30pm: Panel discussion followed by 2 rounds of smaller group speed networking between attendees and speakers Meet the speakers: Ameera Hammouda (panelist): Ameera founded Ameera, a luxury womenswear brand, in 2021. The brand bridges the gap of style and modesty while juxtaposing feminine and masculine, new and old, minimalist and detailed elements. The inspiration for creating Ameera came from her experience and values as a Muslim American-Egyptian woman. She receveied her Bachelor of Business Administration from the Questrom School of Business at BU. Cynthia Cohen (moderator): Cynthia, an alumnae of MET , is on the Board of Trustees of Boston University and on the MET College Advisory Board. She brings deep expertise in business strategy, marketing positioning, target marketing and operational planning to her clients. She built a successful retail and consumer product consulting firm, Strategic Mindshare, before focusing on early stage companies with IMPACT 2040. Cynthia advises several venture capital firms and has worked with Golden Seeds, Springboard, and EY’s Winning Women on judging and CEO training. She has served on 11 public company boards of directors and is recognized as a board governance expert. She is currently a board member of several private companies. Prior to IMPACT 2040 and Strategic Mindshare, she was a Partner in Management Consulting at Deloitte. She sponsors The Innovation Pathway process for Innovate@BU, and she is passionate about mentoring young women and helping women entrepreneurs grow scalable businesses. Felicia Jadczak (panelist): Felicia is Co-Founder, Co-CEO, and Head of Training at She+ Geeks Out. She is a recognized speaker and consultant in the diversity, equity and inclusion field. She has extensive and personal experience with leadership, innovation, women in the workforce, the multiracial experience, and disability. Prior to co-founding SGO, she worked in the technology industry for over ten years, providing strategic guidance and programming for ERGs, DEI councils, and C-suite members. In 2016 she pivoted to focus solely on She+ Geeks Out, where she oversees SGO’s DEI programming and facilitation team. She received her MBA and Master's in Information Systems (with honors) from the Questrom School of Business at BU.
