Cardiovascular Institute of the South is hosting a free vascular screening on Thursday, November 11th from 5-7 p.m. in Prairieville Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is hosting a free vascular screening on Thursday, November 11th from 5 - 7 p.m. at 37292 Market Place Drive in Prairieville. Guests will receive a complimentary ankle brachial index (ABI) screenings and Thermal Imaging screenings. An ABI simple, painless exam is used to test the blood flow in the legs to determine risk of vascular disease. Thermal imaging screening which uses new technology that can detect venous insufficiency. Results will be reviewed on site by CIS providers. Risk factors of vascular disease include family history, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, as well as smoking, being overweight or being inactive. Space is limited.
