About the Event: We would like to cordially invite you to the "Feeding The Future Inaugural Fundraiser." This elegant event will be filled with food, dance, and entertainment supporting our Feeding The Future Program. 100% of the proceeds will go to Our Food Service Training to Employment Program. Featuring Keynote Speaker Vicki Brown, Director of Southland Development Authority, we hope that this event will establish alliances with community partners throughout the City of Chicago and the Chicagoland area while raising money to benefit the Feeding The Future Program. In addition to a great time, guests will enjoy a red-carpet entrance, delicious hors d'oeuvres, music by The London Kay Experience, dancing, an open bar, a silent auction, and door prize giveaways. "The Feeding The Future Inaugural Fundraiser" is scheduled for Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 7 pm – 11 pm, at Poppin Plates Culinary Incubator - 343 Main St in Park Forest, Illinois. On behalf of ARF Food Safety Group, Poppin Plates & Davenport Community Development Corp, we look forward to you becoming a part of this monumental event as we strive to become a catalyst for change within underrepresented communities located throughout the Chicago Land and surrounding areas. About the Organizer: In partnership with the University of Chicago, Feeding The Future is a woman and minority-owned Chicago-based non-for-profit job readiness training program. Our Food Service Training to Employment Program provides an 8-week curriculum providing instruction in food safety, culinary arts, workplace safety, and employment competencies. All trainees graduate with the goal of securing food service employment and a successful, sustainable career.
