Freetown Village Inc. 8th Annual "Making a Difference" Awards Dinner Freetown Village Inc. 8th Annual "Making a Difference" Awards Dinner  November 16, 2021 Over the last 18 months, we have been reminded that we are connected to each other and every gesture of care, love and support makes a difference. Here in the greater Indianapolis community, we have the benefit of distinct, gifted citizens who contribute to the success of building our neighborhoods, institutions, and society. Together, we want to safely gather to honor and celebrate a few of those individuals at our 2021 Making a Difference Awards Program. We hope you will select from the many options to join and celebrate our 2021 honorees: Brigadier General Felicia Brokaw, United States Forces, KoreaOlon Dotson, Professor of Architecture - Ball State UniversityEunice Trotter, Journalist and AuthorLarry Williams, President, Indy Black Chamber of CommerceWe invite you, through financial support and event attendance, to celebrate our honorees on Thursday, November 16, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the newly renovated Madam Walker Legacy Center Ballroom. Program will begin at 6:30 p.m., following an hors d'oeuvres and cash bar reception.  _____________________________________________________________________________________  FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking is available at the Madam Walker Legacy Center, 617 Indiana Avenue. Parking lot is just west of the front entrance of the building. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Our office number is (317) 631-1870.  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, registered attendees will be checked in at the registration table.     Freetown Village is a living history museum with the mission to educate the public about African American life in Indiana through educational programs and events.  Interactive programs are presented in various locations and may include theater, storytelling, music, workshops, and special events.
