Description
This immersion is about practicing embodiment as a way to recognize and move through the difficulties of social justice issues. 15 Yoga Alliance CEUs available Are we One? In the practice of yoga we are committed to investigating our personal and interpersonal conditioned life. As a community and movement we have the opportunity to be the bridge between spirituality and social responsibility. As yogis, we strive for self-awareness and a compassionate heart and making conscious choices that are aligned with yoga principles. As our awareness expands, we cannot help but see and feel the suffering of others, our unconscious beliefs and privilege. If we are going to bear witness to the suffering of others and be in service, we must be able to bear witness to our own suffering and in turn, find effective ways to work with and move through our own pain. Over the last 18 months we have all experienced to some degree, individual and collective trauma and are faced with the challenge of working with all that has and continues to transpire. This immersion is about practicing embodiment as a way to recognize and move through triggers; owning our own shadow and tending to our wounds so that we can show up through being responsible and compassionate towards ourselves and the greater world.
