The Cedar Valley Soccer Club presents: An Evening with Ryan Leaf The future of Cedar Valley Soccer Club is looking bright with the hopes of building our own indoor training facility. This means more quality practice throughout the year, regardless of what weather Iowa brings us. CVSC is also establishing a stronger scholarship program to make sure there are no financial barriers for any child who has a passion to play soccer! With these two plans in place, CVSC is hosting a gala on February 5, 2022. Our keynote speaker is Ryan Leaf. Ryan Leaf is recognized as one of college football's greatest quarterbacks.After his junior year at Washington State University, Leaf was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. He was selected as the second overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft after Peyton Manning. His NFL career was cut short for a myriad of reasons and he was eventually ranked as the "No. 1 draft bust" in NFL history. After years of addiction & legal issues, Leaf is a Program Ambassador for Transcend Recovery Community, a group of sober living houses. He also hosts a radio show and is a college football analyst. Leaf is hoping his story inspires young athletes to work hard, stay focused and always take accountability for his/her actions.
