Family Night Under the Stars
Movies & Conversation
Our goal for this event is increase parent/child communication and connection through a family movie night and conversation. The goal is also to address the social/emotional challenges that students are experiencing during this global pandemic. It is more critical now than ever that parents and caregivers have open and honest conversations with children and conversations about sexual health and responsibility cannot be excluded. Thus, Mt. Olive will host a movie night to attract youth, parents and caregivers and discuss the importance of parent child communication and connection. The evening will begin with a speaker who is also an educator to discuss the importance of this topic and what is happening in our schools and community. The conversation will be followed by a movie that will prompt conversation between children and parents and address social/emotional learning. The Movie is called Inside Out.
