LANDSCAPE WELDER - 1099 Contractor You will always have a lead or Kb Contractors TX Contractor on site with you. This is not a full time job with benefits; but we have full time hours available at discretion based on experience, punctuality, and performance. The qualified candidate will be an experienced TIG, MIG, or Flux Core Welder who has proven practical working knowledge of welding thin gauge sheet metal, steel, stainless and aluminum. Must know how to properly grade land with landscapers to place steel accordingly. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: · Utilize welding machines at full capacity to build retaining walls, edging, trellis', planter boxes, structural builds for exterior work · Able to ensure accurate weld fabrication requirements. · Reviewing work orders to understand tolerance requirements and be able to weld to close tolerances. · Capability to weld various materials to include sheet metal, stainless steel and aluminum. EXPERIENCE: · Able to calculate basic math requirements. · Able to work in Texas temperatures ranging from 50 degrees to 105 degrees CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Strong attention to detail. · Able to work in fast-paced environment under tight customer deadlines. · Able to lift up to 50 lbs. · Working knowledge of required tools such as calipers, clamps, pliers and center punch.
