Description
SALEM, MA — U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton's office is now accepting applications for a nomination to one of the U.S. service academies.
Members of Congress are eligible to nominate students in their districts to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the Naval Academy at Annapolis, the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy does not require a Congressional nomination for appointment.
Moulton's office said he annually nominates up to 10 students from the 6th U.S. Congressional District for vacant slots allocated to the district.
"Serving as an officer in the Marines was one of the hardest and best decisions I've ever made," Moulton said. "The leadership experience you will gain from attending a service academy and serving our country will last you a lifetime.
"If you're interested, I encourage you to learn more and apply."
Moulton's office will hold a virtual information session on Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. Interested students can register here.
An informational packet can be downloaded here.
