Description
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 64-year-old Sun City Center woman died from a car crash on U.S. Highway 301 Saturday night when another vehicle hit her car after she didn't yield, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
A 2016 Honda Fit driven by her headed eastbound along a driveway of 18001 U.S. 301. She didn't yield to a 2010 Ford Fusion nearby on U.S. 301 southbound driven by a 33-year-old Temple Terrace man, according to authorities. The Honda then drove in front of the Ford at the intersection causing a head-on collision. The two drivers and a passenger in the Ford were seriously injured.
Driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at a hospital, officers said. Both driver and passenger in the Ford were airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries.
