NORTH AMITYVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a man who robbed a gas station and threatened to harm a clerk with a broken beer bottle in North Amityville. According to police, a man entered a Sunoco gas station, located at 616 Broadway, at about 11:45 p.m. on October 4. The man took a beer bottle, broke it, and demanded money from the clerk, police said. The clerk complied, and the man left with an unknown amount of cash, police said. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS or going online at www.P3Tips.com. All calls, text messages, and emails will be kept confidential.
