Celebrate the proud history of Dutch-American influence in West Michigan with a wonderful Dutch dinner, fun & festivities for all. 2021 West Michigan Dutch-American Heritage Day DinnerWe're excited to announce this year's keynote speaker is retired Ambassador Pete Hoekstra. Ambassador Hoekstra was born in the Netherlands, moving to the United States as a toddler. He served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands from 2018 - 2021. Ambassador Hoekstra also served as a member of Congress for 18 years during which time he was a member of the Gang of Eight, receiving the most highly classified information available in the U.S. Government. Today, he continues to aggressively and effectively promote United States foreign policy goals and objectives. We are pleased to honor west Michigan Honorary Dutch Consul Paul Heule for his service to our community, promoting economic and trade relations between the Netherlands and the United States. We would like to extend a special thanks to Witte Travel for once again sponsoring our grand prize drawing, tickets for two (including airfare) on the Netherlands waterway cruise April 8 - 16, 2022. The evening begins with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.
