NEW HAVEN, CT —No charges have been filed against a motorcyclist in connection with the death of a pedestrian struck by the bike last Friday night, police said.
Shortly before 8 p.m. on Oct. 8, a person crossing the street at the intersection of Norton and Stanley streets was hit by the bike.
Both the pedestrian, who police have not named, and the motorcyclist, also unnamed by cops, were taken to Yale New Haven Hospital. The pedestrian was pronounced dead, and the driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway said.
Shumway said that the New Haven Police Department Crash Team "continues to investigate," and no charges "have been filed at this time."
