RV dwellers in the city...

Anyone else notice all the RV's parked in the city? I think I counted ten within a half mile radius from where I live. In the old days, the cops would harass people for living in a vehicle on the street. Now it seems that they don't care or don't have the time. Apartment rents have gotten so high that it seems like the logical thing to do. I myself am living in a crappy basement makeshift apartment. I pay my rent by helping with the repairs and maintenance. If I didn't have this, I would have to live in my van. Does anyone think the vehicle living is going to increase in the city?
