Press release from the Beth-El Center: Oct. 12, 2021 Runners and walkers are invited to participate in the 10th Annual Milford Trick or Trot 5K on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Lisman Landing in Downtown Milford. All proceeds go to the Beth-El Center to support its homeless shelter, food programs, and outreach and engagement efforts to assist those experiencing homelessness and hunger in the Milford area. According to Jenn Paradis, Beth-El Center Executive Director, "We're so appreciated of all that our community does to make this great event happen in order to raise funds for the Center's emergency shelter and soup kitchen. The financial support from this event helps us maintain our housing and food programs which are critical during this unprecedented pandemic crisis." Registration fee is $29 for the first 150 people who sign up and $32 thereafter. For participants 18 and younger, the registration fee is $22. Register by October 15, 2021 to receive an event t-shirt. Registration begins at 7:30am and a shotgun start is at 9:00am. This is a family friendly event. Adults, children and pets are encouraged to wear costumes and prizes will be awarded. After the 5K, food to go will be provided by Subway, Regional Water Authority and Chabaso Bakery. Water stations will be available, but participants are asked to bring their own water bottles. The event is sponsored and organized by the law firm of Harlow, Adams, and Friedman, P.C. and Sikorsky Credit Union.
