NEWARK, NJ — FEMA officials are coming to Newark on Wednesday, Oct. 13 to help people register for Hurricane Ida emergency relief funds. According to a city advisory, the "town hall" event will take place from 5:45 to 8 p.m. at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) campus center ballroom, on the second floor of 150 Bleeker Street. The town hall will include: Individual assistance for homeownersIndividual assistance for rentersSmall Business Administration assistance in the form of loans for businesses and restaurantsOn-site registration from FEMA for Hurricane Ida relief and assistance People should bring "all pertinent documentation," including receipts, photos and denial letters.
