Evansville crews were dispatched to Trivalence Technologies in the 3200 block of Claremont Avenue just before noon Monday.
The first unit on the scene reported black smoke coming from the front of the building.
AMR was asked to send an ambulance for an employee who had inhaled smoke.
Crews quickly knocked the fire down. It's not known yet how it started.
Police blocked traffic on Claremont between Tekoppel and Ingle as crews battled the blaze.
