JOLIET, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has filed four felony charges against a 46-year-old Lake Zurich man who drove all the way to Joliet last week expecting to meet a 16-year-old to engage in sexual conduct, according to prosecutors. Will County prosecutors have charged Joshua Radetski with indecent solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child, unlawful grooming and solicitation to meet a child. Radetski has remained inside the Will County Jail since being booked into the Will County Jail around 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 7. His bail is set at $500,000. The distance from Lake Zurich to Joliet is 60 miles. In the event that Radetski posts 10 percent of his bail to regain his freedom, a Will County judge told him he shall have no contact with any minors except for his own child, court documents reflect. His preliminary hearing will take place in Courtroom 405 on Oct. 29. While jailed, Radetski has hired long-time Joliet criminal defense attorney Steven Haney to represent him. According to his criminal complaint, Radetski used a cellular phone with the intent of meeting a person he believed to be a child under the age of 17: Shane Divis of the Save Our Siblings organization, who was using a 16-year-old female persona, "to meet at a location ... (in) Joliet without the knowledge of the child's parent or guardian and the meeting with the child was arranged for other than a lawful purpose in Illinois." The criminal complaint indicates Radetski expected the 16-year-old female "to perform an act of sexual penetration." Joliet police arrested Radetsk at a business parking lot in the 3100 block of Joliet's West Jefferson Street. Here is Joliet Patch's story from last week on Radetski's arrest by Joliet police.
