Oregon COVID-19 Deaths Hit New Daily High, Total Passes 4,000

PORTLAND, OR — A record that nobody wanted to break. The Oregon Health Authority reported a new daily high of 82 deaths. Despite that, the state did have some positive news: the daily total of new cases continued to decline with only 1,413 cases reported. Since the pandemic started, there have been a total of 345,344 cases. The number of people hospitalized dropped by 59 fewer to 585, of those 149 were in ICU, a decline of the 21 from the day before.
