What does it take to save a shelter dog's life today? Without a transition Foster home, perfectly good Shelter dogs have no where to go and can eventually end up in the Euthanasia Room. No Foster = No Rescue. A Rescuer pays for food and vetting, arranges transport as needed, and it won't cost the Foster anything but a little time and compassion. No Foster = No Rescue. California is one of the only 2 States where more than 110,000 dogs and cats were killed Last Year simply because they didn't have a safe place to call home. About 10,000 fur pets every Month will die due to no fault of their own - human failure is to blame.  These pitiful ones who ended on death row were young healthy dogs, some even were puppies, or discarded and confused seniors, some were lost dogs without a microchip whose owner never came looking for it, or lost logs with a microchip whose owner just moved on callously and never claimed it. But, you as a Foster Volunteer can make all the difference - a dog's life will be forever changed with gratitude as it gains confidence and learns that he/she really does matter.
