Niles, Ohio (October 6, 2021) – Kathy Severn, managing partner at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Niles, Ohio, received the Managing Partner of the Year award for her outstanding leadership, financial performance, and guest satisfaction. Firebirds presented the award at the company’s recent annual award conference. “Kathy is an excellent example of what it takes to be one of Firebirds’ top partners, receiving outstanding guest satisfaction based on social media, review sites and internal reviews,” CEO Steve Kislow said. “Under her leadership, the restaurant continues to provide an exceptional environment, not only for guests, but for Firebirds’ staff as well.” Severn was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in West Virginia. She began her restaurant journey at Smokey Bones where she was general manager for six years. In 2013, Severn made the move to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Niles, as service manager, and was promoted to executive chef one year later. In 2018, Severn became the restaurant’s general manager and named Managing Partner in 2020.
