Press release from the Genesee Intermediate School District: September 15, 2021 The Genesee Intermediate School District was awarded the Bronze Certified Commit to Fit Healthy Workplace Award by the Greater Flint Health Coalition and Commit to Fit. This certification aims to acknowledge businesses actively working to improve the health of their employees by providing workplace wellness programming and a healthy work environment. Businesses and organizations are scored on the comprehensiveness of their current workplace wellness programs. Categories include: workplace environment, policies, leadership support, and wellness program components. The GISD Wellness Committee is excited to receive this award on behalf of the Genesee Intermediate School District and is dedicated to implementing new strategies and policies to support staff wellness.
