Material Handler/Environmental Technician with CDL (Multiple Positions) Job Location: North Pole, Alaska Full Time: 40 Hours/week Monday-Friday Starting wage: DOE ($18-$20/hour) We are an established environmental company with 22 years in the local community with Offices in North Pole and Anchorage, Alaska; Portland, Oregon; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and satellite operations in Hawaii, Nevada, Arkansas, and Texas. We hold several commercial and government contracts offering excellent job security and advancement opportunities. This is primarily a Materials Handler/Environmental Technician position with the majority of CDL driving consisting of local box, pickup, vacuum, and/or flatbed truck transportation to and from the job site or client locations. You may perform a wide array of environmental and industrial tasks from hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation, consolidation, and material handling; warehouse work; oil water separator (OWS) and grease trap inspection, maintenance, and cleaning; equipment operation; and various other environmental services. Key Responsibilities: - Material handling - Pickup, deliver, and process hazardous and nonhazardous waste and materials - Load and position drums using manual and mechanical means - Industrial maintenance and cleaning of oil water separators and grease traps - Driving and Operation of vacuum/tank trucks for pumping of water, oil, and other materials - General labor/Housekeeping - Customer service/client interaction - Follow policies and procedures - Must follow a safety culture set by supervisors. - Operate forklifts, lift gates, plow vehicles, flatbed/box trucks. Requirements: - Possess or obtain a 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification prior to first day of employment - Pass pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana) - Minimum class “B” unrestricted CDL w/hazmat endorsement - Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities - Maintain neat/clean professional appearance - Ability to meet physical demands of the job - Ability to pass occupational and DOT physicals - Ability to wear a respirator - Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic - Possess basic computer skills - Ability to pass required background checks for employment and military installation access - Ability to meet current and developing Covid-19 regulations/guidelines for Federal contractors Benefits: - 12 paid holidays/year - 80 hours vacation pay/year (Increases after 5 years) - Up to 56 hours accrued sick leave/year - Medical, dental, and vision Insurance available - Flexible Spending account available - Employer matched 401K retirement plan - Additional fringe allotment applied to 401k or medical benefits for time spent on government service contracts We are excited to hear from you and look forward to receiving your application and/or resume to join our expanding team.
