Bassist and drummer looking to form a new band. Retro funk and jazz infused instrumental rock. Ideal lineup would consist of keyboard (organ) and guitar along with drums/bass. Flute, sax, horns, percussion and possibly vocals would also be interesting. Largely instrumental (no lyrics), but open to exceptions. Poliziotteschi, Italian library music, Blaxploitation soundtracks, groovy soundtrack music, Ennio Morricone, Booker T. and the MG's, The Meters, Curtis Mayfield, 70's Miles, etc. Would like to keep the volume down and play some non-standard events and venues rather than just the typical bars. We work democratically, writing together as a group or working on each others songs and song ideas. Looking for cool easy-going team-players. No dictators!
