Bassist/multi-instrumentalist looking for serious indie project

Description
I’m a multi-instrumentalist and amateur producer in my early thirties looking to start an original project or join other ongoing projects. For most of my musical career I was the bassist for an indie-rock/new wave revival band. We released two albums, you can hear them on Spotify or other streaming services. I moved to Boston before the pandemic and the the other band mates moved to LA to pursue a new project. I didn’t make a lot of connections in the music scene here before everything shut down for COVID but now I’m getting tired of just spinning my wheels in my home studio. I’m in Jamaica Plain but I have a car and can travel to a rehearsal space. We can rehearse at my home studio if you’re ok with electronic drums. I converted my acoustic kit with triggers and mesh heads and hybrid cymbals. I’m in a house but there’s another tenant upstairs (He’s a piano teacher so doesn’t mind the noise but full-on rock band with acoustic drums is another story). My main instrument is bass but I’m also a decent guitarist and I can “get by” on drums and keyboard as well as a few other instruments. I don’t have a traditional lead singer voice but I can do a baritone backup range if you want some harmony. My voice is similar to Interpol/Joy Division or a less gravelly Mark Lanegan. I would be interested in fronting a bass-led post-punk or stoner/desert rock band but that’s pretty much my limit when it comes to vocals. I would ideally like a band with no clear “frontman” like Sloan or The Beatles where everyone shares songwriting and singing duties. I’m a music nerd and love all kinds of stuff but my personal style is oriented around Post-Punk, Indie revival, stoner rock, grunge. My biggest influences are Josh Homme (QOTSA etc.), Death From Above 1979, Tool, Elliott Smith, Spoon, Pixies, Bowie, Interpol, Toadies. But I enjoy music from nearly every genre and era and I’m open to trying something new. I’m a pretty accomplished musician but I’ve never taken a lesson in my life and I can’t stand music snobs. I know theory but I don’t care if others do. The best music comes from people who care more about the sound and feel than technical proficiency. I’m very laid back but I do want to make music my main career so I’m interested in meeting people that also have that goal. Hope to hear from you! PS check your spam folder!
