Original shoegaze and post-punk hybrid

Bass player (and some guitar) moving to the DeKalb/West Suburbs area looking for others (vocals, guitar, keys, drums, whatever) interested in creating original music inspired by the classic drony shoegaze bands (MBV, Bethany Curve, Bowery Electric, Bardo Pond, etc.) and old and new school post-punk (Wire, Joy Division, Bunnymen, Preoccupations, Soviet Soviet, etc.). In other words, I want to create wide open spaces to blast full of melodic noise. I am open to performing live eventually, but mostly want to write, play, and record songs that I (we) like. Common musical interests and creative input are more important than skill level or gear quality. Bigots of any sort need not inquire.
