The Shipping/Receiving Manager is directly accountable and responsible for the management of safety, quality, production, scheduling/planning, and distribution/warehousing activities of the facility in accordance with the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures. The facility Shipping/Receiving Manager will continuously review all of the operational processes, systems, assets, and methodologies of the terminal and will develop a strategic and tactical operational plan which aligns with the objectives and strategies of the Company’s annual business plan and budget. Responsibilities: The Shipping/Receiving Manager directs all operations of the facility by perpetuating the following responsibilities, either personally or through subordinate Leads, and in a manner consistent with the values and standards of the Company: Motivate and maintain a safe and environmentally-compliant facility Perpetual assessment and adjustment of current strategies, procedures, performance, capabilities, equipment, facilities, and people to maintain and enhance safety, production, service, and quality Oversee/confirm BOL process Oversee freight planning Identify, troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues with minimal guidance Inputs information in to TMS(transportation management system) Team Player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment. Good judgment, initiative, attention to detail, drive for change, getting organizational support, making though decisions and developing others. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
