Solenergi is looking for a journeyman electrician to work on residential projects for our growing solar and battery storage company. You should have solid skills in troubleshooting and a good knowledge of proper safety procedures. We reward hard work and safety consciousness with opportunities for advancement. This is not a full time position but can lead to one. Full Job Description Electrical Journeyman / Solar Electrician Scope of work: Prior solar experience strongly preferred Journeyman/Journeywoman’s license is strongly preferred Must be able to comprehend and build projects according to single/three line diagrams Must be able to bend ¾ and 1" EMT Install Battery Storage systems including Tesla Powerwall, and tie in solar electric systems Must be able to mount and properly wire solar and electrical equipment after reviewing plans / installation manuals: -Inverters -Disconnects -Subpanels Conduit runs and equipment mounting is aesthetically pleasing Comfortably work on ladders at 30+ feet Carry up to a 50 lb load Work under less-than-ideal weather conditions and see job through completion Work must be compliant with NEC code for solar Occasional assistance in roof work when necessary - laying panels, running leads, wiring junction boxes Work Monday-Friday from 7:00 am ~ 1:00 pm OR 1:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm and occasional Saturday’s Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation Job Type: Contract Pay: Depending on project scope, complexity, time required Schedule: flexible, 1 to 6 days per week depending on your availability Washington, DC / Maryland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Education: Electrical coursework preferred High school or equivalent (Preferred) License/Certification: Journeyman and/or Master Electrician
