Tricon Precast is hiring for general laborer and concrete patcher positions for our New Braunfels plant. Starting pay at $15.00 an hour. Start times are from 4am to 5am for general laborers and 6am for concrete patchers, but are subject to change depending on the climate. 8 hours daily minimum, but must be able to work overtime on a needed basis. Monday to Fridays. Saturdays if necessary. Job Description: General laborers will be responsible for working outdoors on producing concrete traffic barriers. Duties include, but are not limited to tying rebar cages, installing connectors, lifters, wire mesh, and bulkheads at correct dimensions, applying silicone or form oil, pouring concrete into forms, keeping work areas clean, and preparing for next day's production. Concrete Patchers are responsible for repairing damaged product in accordance with Txdot procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to mixing patch material with consistency, ensuring that scratches and marks made by crane or forklift are repaired, confirming that the products have no significant cosmetic flaws or defects on the top, bottom, and side of product, and keeping their work areas clean. Requirements: Must have documentation of identification and authorization to work Be able to pass a UA drug test Have Reliable transportation Be able to lift 50 pounds Be able to work on hot and cold outdoor climates Have Steel-toed boots (Rest of PPE will be provided) Operate handheld power tools in a safe manner Apply at the main office which is open from 6am to 3pm.
