Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. Put your organizational skills to good use! We are in need of a Volunteer Site Coordinator. This volunteer position requires availability of 4-5 hours weekly, including every other Thursday morning between 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. In this position, your main responsibility is to coordinate our wonderful volunteers for the delivery of meals, and various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. In a pinch, the Coordinator can fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team, including calling clients for their meal orders and delivering meals to clients. Training for this position is provided. We are looking for someone that is available long term. Qualifications: Good communication and people skills, reliable, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders. This is an on-going volunteer commitment and we are looking for someone that is available longer term. Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 21 years of age, and have a Washington state driver's license and insurance.
