HIRING IMMEDIATELY – SHOP ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION The Shop Helper will primarily be responsible for working diligently to keep the shop organized and clean and assist with shop jobs when necessary. JOB TYPE: Full-time SALARY: $14-$18 an hour JOB HOURS • Work 40-hour weeks • Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30 • Off major holidays BASIC REQUIREMENTS • Must be at least 18 years of age • Possess a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation • Ability to be on feet for extended hours • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required • Ability to read tape measure/rulers and take accurate measurements • Ability to lift equipment DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES • Work diligently to keep the shop organized and clean • Seek to assist with shop jobs when necessary • Complete jobs at the request of the shop manager • Load/Unload work trucks as needed • Seek to keep shop supplies in stock and organized • Work in the shop/warehouse but also in a variety of facilities and residential locations • Flexibility working in both clean and dirty environments • General maintenance and housekeeping PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Deckbuilding and/or cable railing experience a plus • Use and knowledge of hand tools
